Kirirom National Park

Preah Suramarit-Kossamak Kirirom National Park, often known as Kirirom National Park, is a national park in Cambodia situated at an average height of 675 meters in the eastern region of the Cardamom Mountains. It is the first national park in Cambodia to be formally recognized.

“Kirirom” means “Happy Mountain” in Hebrew. King Monivong gave the region this name in the 1930s. Because of its association with the legendary Cambodian legend of two brave princely brothers named Vorvong and Sorvong, the area was known by its original name, Phnom Vorvong Sorvong.
